• SANS 10089 — Petroleum industry: storage and distribution of petroleum products.
• SANS 10231 — Transportation of dangerous goods.
• National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998 (NEMA) and the National Water Act for spill response.
• Major Hazard Installation Regulations where applicable to depots.

Maintain valid DG permits, TREMcards, fire suppression, earthing, bonding and personal protective equipment. Provide driver fatigue management and route risk assessments for every load.

Buyers must provide a bunded receiving area, fire extinguisher (DCP minimum 9 kg) within 5 m, no naked flames within 15 m, a clear emergency egress route, and an authorised receiver trained in pump-off procedures.

Any spill greater than 25 litres must be reported within 1 hour to the FuelSync operations desk and the relevant authorities (NEMA Section 30). FuelSync coordinates approved clean-up contractors for marketplace incidents.
